What was your top takeaway from the video?

I wish I had this video back when I was starting. I was so mad because I had great content but wasn't getting any attention. 1k was mission impossible. I was lucky when I found out I can boost my channel with initial subs just enough to start getting noticed. I got myself first couple of hundred subs for very low price (personally used Fame -ster). After that my main channel gain a ton of organic traffic.

This is very good info Molly, I love the idea about using shorter videos in order to get the retention up. It makes so much sense that you're gonna get people watching shorter videos and then you get them used to that and they subscribe and they like you and then they start following you and then when you start lengthening your videos they're just gonna stick around. I’m beginning to hate retention tactics because UA-camrs add soooo much filler, like all non essential info you added to this video for the first 5 minutes. You could’ve said it all in about 2-3 minutes. But I get it. UA-cam has turned content creators into mini TV producers. Once more people learn how to use AI to summarize videos, read chapter titles, and scan the transcript they’ll potentially watch less and just get directly to the info they want. But that won’t happen anytime soon.

This journey is not easy ☹️ Thanks for more information princess but we just started our true crime channel and 8 days we have uploaded almost 7 videos and views are not coming only have 4 subscribers I don’t know if we must just give up or keep uploading but it’s not nice uploading and still no subs or views

All my videos are under 5 mins. I thought that would be good for retention but now realizing that it makes 4000 watch hours more difficult… and if I ever get monetized I can’t have 2 ad breaks but so far it still seems like a good length to me. Great video!
